Amplifiers for HFC networks
Wideband amplifiers dedicated for HFC networks are active devices, basic task of which is to amplify RF signal to the level which allows transmission in cable network without losing quality of transmitted signals. Modern design of wideband amplifiers allows bidirectional transmission: from Headend to customer (forward path) and from customer to Headend (reverse path). Depending on its functionality, CATV network can be:
► Distribution network – responsible for transmitting signals between HeadEnd and buildings,
► Building network – responsible for signals distribution to each customer in building.
